Method for Making the Pallet Patio Bar with Concrete Top
Step 1: The first thing that you are required to do is to select the right sized pallets. The ideal length for this bar would be 40 inches of height and 6 feet of length. The pallets you select shall match this height.
Step 2: The next step is to cut off parts of the pallet that overlap with the stringers which are required to align two pallets that will act as the front of the bar. For sides cut the pallets into half and then the boards into 18 inches of size.
Step 3: Use the bolts and glue to attach the pallets together. Join the side and front pallets by using these elements.
Step 4: Use a 2×4′ centre leg to provide support to the bar and screw and glue it in the centre. Use the same sized pieces at top and middle. Add two2x4′ pieces on the inside to support the shelf.
Step 5: Cut the plywood pallet with jigsaw in a size that can easily rest on the inner prices of 2×4′.
Step 6: Make a counter top of 74x18x1.5 from melamine. Attach this on the bar with screws. Mix the concrete as per the instructions and pour it in the top till half. Add the wire reinforcement and continue to fill the entire form. Smooth the top and let it rest for 4 days. After that sand the concrete, and fill the bug holes with cement.
Step 7: Apply the concrete sealer and your table is ready to use.
